I just left UBTH now, COVID-19 is real and in Benin. I have friends in UBTH, and it's hell up there. Several cases confirmed. The issue is that doctors and nurses @UBTH have been instructed not to "waste" the few test kits obtained on the general public, rather to be used for prominent politicians and those just coming into the country. Many have been infected, but are not tested or attended to bcus UBTH isn't even equipped for it...
You must have heard or have watched Sydney Egere's(Sydney Talker) skit, he wasn't joking about it...the Edo state NCDC hotlines published, if you try calling, they never pick up.
Everyone take up the self isolation seriously. COVID-19 is real.
WHAT TO DO?
*Self Isolate
*Build ur immune system...take a lot of Vitamin supplements, Multi vitamins, Vegetables and fruits...also, bitter Kola, Ginger, garlic. They help build your immune system. With a strong immune system ur body can fight it off upon infection, that's the only way. As far is you're in Edo, there's no treatment or attention given. Please be warned, and pass the message around...stay safe. "
