SEVEN MISTAKES MEN MAKE DURING SEX

When it comes to sex, men need a re-orientation in the way they think about women’s sexual needs.
Sex experts think that a change in thinking may improve the typical man’s sex life.
So, they suggest answers to the sex mistakes that most men make.
So, here we go…
• Mistake: You make sex start in the bedroom. Sex therapist, Dr. Ian Kerner, notes that while men may develop erection at the sight of a woman’s naked body, arousal doesn’t happen so fast for women.
Suggestion: Pave the way during the day by hugging, kissing, and holding hands. Have some fun together, and show you appreciate her. Feeling safe and secure in the relationship is key for a woman to really let loose during sex, Kerner says.
•Mistake:  You think you know what she wants. Women are good at faking orgasm, says Kerner. So, if she’s not enjoying the sex, you might not know it.
Suggestion: Don’t be afraid to ask questions like ‘How does this feel?’ or ‘Do you want something different?’ In other words, ask for directions.
• Mistake: Using same tactics. That something worked the first three times doesn’t mean it will work the next three times, says sex therapist Sari Cooper. What turns on a woman may depend on her mood, and her monthly cycle. Therefore, pay attention to your partner.
Suggestion: Try different things and see how she responds. When you find something that works, linger on it. Women often complain that men move on to the next thing just as they really start to enjoy an activity.
•Mistake: Doing the same foreplay. Expand your idea of foreplay. Some men focus on physical stimulation and often ignore mental stimulation, Kerner says.
Suggestion: While men get stirred up by what they see, women fantasize a lot during sex as part of the process of arousal. Join in — share a fantasy or a sexy memory.
• Mistake: Thinking sex alone would make her orgasm. For 80 per cent of women, intercourse alone won’t do the trick. This is because most sex positions don’t directly stimulate the clitoris.
Suggestion: There are other ways to pleasure her, such as sex with the woman on top. To help her during sex, take time to get her going before you penetrate her.
• Mistake: Forgetting to seduce her. Women like to be seduced. This is sometimes more important than technique, Cooper says.
Suggestion: It helps to know what kind of turn-on your partner likes, whether it’s oral, visual, or mental. Also, if you like what you see, say so. Let a woman know how desirable she is, Barbach says.

Nigeria: Edo North's Unsettled Pair - Shagadi and Momoh

Opinion

Alhaji Usman Shagadi
By tradition, I am not a politician, but nearly made a slip to join a political party over a year ago and I will explain my reasons for daring such a move: I saw the developments that were going on in my senatorial district by the state government and just retiring from the Federal Civil Service, I had thought that to identify with the progressive government from my ward level, would create a platform to enhance my contributions, but I had a shocking experience which quickly put me on the reverse gear.
Hon. Abubakar Momoh

The shock came from a blood relation whom I had assigned to handle the booking of chairs and canopies and when I telephoned him to ask how I can go about my registration at the ward level, he let out the shock: "you have to see our leaders back home before registration". I ignored his message and asked: "where is the ward register and are you not the one to effect my registration?"
"Yes, but the leaders have to be seen?" he repeated.
"Who are they?" I asked.

Chief Adun, was recently appointed by the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, to resuscitate the Edo Line after it was closed down in 2010.

How Imo Governor 'Rochas Okorocha' Was Embarrassed at Iriji Mbaise New Yam Festival

rochasThe Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha was severely embarrassed at the last Iriji Mbaise New Yam Festival in the state.

THIS DAY reported that since his election in 2011, Okorocha who attended the ceremony for the first time this year and that at some point, the festival turned into a political rally of sorts with Okorocha and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, relentlessly fighting for supremacy.

The Mbaise people were not impressed with Okorocha's behavior and so his microphone was intermittently switched off for as long as five minutes, while the people jeered at him.

Robbers snatch man’s car, throw away 3-month baby, rape wife to stupor

Tears flowed freely as people beheld the pathetic sight of a middle-aged nursing mother whose three-month old baby was thrown into the bush while an eight-man gang of devilish souls raped her to a point of unconsciousness right in the presence of her husband.

The woman (names with held) who had bruises all over her body especially in the waist region could barely stand unaided when she was sighted at the headquarters of the Kogi State Police Command. Continue..

Sunnews gathered that the suspects waylaid the couple on their way to the village, and dispossessed the husband and wife of their cash and valuables at gunpoint. Then they took them in the family car to a nearby bush where they tied the husband and raped the wife who was at that time breast feeding her three-month-old baby.

It was learnt that one of the armed robbers on getting to the bush slapped the wife and forcibly took the baby away from her hands and threw the baby aside. He pointed a gun to her head and ordered her to undress.

For more than two hours, the eight robbers, one after the other, thereafter engaged the poor woman in a marathon sex while the husband watched helplessly and the hapless innocent baby cried profusely.
Parading the suspects before newsmen, the Acting Commissioner of Police, Mr Abiodun Odude said the family was travelling from Ogugu in Olamaboro Local Government Area, Kogi State to Iga-Ikeje when the robbers accosted them.

Odude said the victim (names withheld) a native of Ogugu reported at the Olamaboro Police Division and stated that he was travelling in his Toyota Corolla car with his wife and baby when suddenly some eight armed robbers accosted them, dispossessing them of their car, N6600 cash and mobile phone sets.

The alleged robbers then bundled them into the vehicle and drove them inside the bush about two kilometres from the road, where the man was tied to a tree prior to raping the wife. Giving further explanation of what transpired, he said the wife who was oblivious of their plan as she was crying and begging them not to kill her husband. This prompted one of the robbers to give her a vicious slap, took the baby away and ordered her to undress, while pointing a gun to her head.
He said the woman fainted after the ordeal.

Done with their evil business, they sons-of-the devil tied up the woman’s legs and drove away in the car.

After about 40 minutes, the woman regained consciousness, struggled to free herself and walked to a nearby village, where she informed a group of vigilantes, who later rescued the husband.
On receiving the report, a police patrol team led by Mr. Mbang Eteng, an Assistant Superintendent of Police tracked down and arrested two of the robbers, whose names were given as Vincent Oguche from an uncompleted building, and Femi Simon, who attempted to run away, but was overpowered by policemen and both of them taken into custody.

The police said the two suspects in the course of interrogation confessed to the crime and thereafter led the detectives to their hideout, where the stolen car, assorted guns and handsets were recovered. The names of two other members of the gang were given as Friday Oguche and Joe Agbo. The police are still on the trail of the remaining four members who are still at large.

Vincent Oguche while acknowledging that he and the others actually committed the heinous crime, explained why they raped the woman despite that she was nursing a baby, saying: “We were not in our right sense because we were very high on drugs.”

Femi Simon who claimed to be a native of Iyah Gbede in Ijumu Local Government Area of the state said he was an unemployed driver who was conscripted into the deal. He said he could not control his libido when he saw his comrades-in-crime ‘enjoying themselves’ so he had to join them to have a taste of the woman.

The police rebuffed the request to speak with the woman, firmly saying she should be left alone on account of the horrendous ordeal she experienced.

WHO approves experimental drugs as Ebola death toll tops 1,000

The World Health Organisation authorised the use of experimental drugs in the fight against Ebola on Tuesday as the death toll topped 1,000 and a Spanish priest became the first European to succumb to the latest outbreak of the virus. The declaration by the UN’s health agency came after a US company that makes an experimental serum said it had sent all its available supplies to hard-hit west Africa.

“In the particular circumstances of this outbreak, and provided certain conditions are met... it is ethical to offer unproven interventions with as yet unknown efficacy and adverse effects,” the WHO said in a statement following a teleconference between medical experts.

The current outbreak, described as the worst since Ebola was first discovered four decades ago, has now killed 1,013 people since early this year, the WHO said.

Cases have so far been limited to Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria, all in west Africa where ill-equipped and fragile health systems are struggling to cope.

Elderly Spanish priest Miguel Pajares, who became infected while helping patients in Liberia, died in a Madrid hospital on Tuesday, five days after being evacuated.

Monrovia said it had requested samples of an experimental drug, ZMapp, that has shown some positive effects on two US aid workers but failed to save the Spanish priest.

Supplies would be brought in by a representative of the US government later this week, the Liberian government said.

There is currently no available cure or vaccine for Ebola, which the WHO has declared a global public health emergency, and the use of experimental drugs has stoked an ethical debate.

Despite promising results for the ZMapp treatment, made by private US company Mapp Biopharmaceutical, it is still in an early phase of development and had only been tested previously on monkeys.

ZMapp is in very short supply, but its use on the Western aid workers evacuated to the United States last week triggered controversy and demands that it be made available in Africa.

Mapp said it had sent all its available supplies to West Africa.

“In responding to the request received this weekend from a West African nation, the available supply of ZMapp is exhausted,” it said in a statement.

“Any decision to use ZMapp must be made by the patients’ medical team,” it said, adding that the drug was “provided at no cost in all cases”.

The company did not reveal which nation received the doses, or how many were sent.

But the Liberian presidency said: “The White House and the United States Food and Drug Administration have approved the request for sample doses of experimental serum to treat Liberian doctors who are currently infected with the deadly Ebola virus disease.”

Panic is stalking the impoverished countries ravaged by the disease in west Africa, where drastic containment measures are causing transport chaos, price hikes and food shortages, and stoking fears that people could die of hunger.

Numerous countries around the globe have imposed emergency measures, including flight bans and improved health screenings.

In Liberia — where Ebola has already claimed almost 370 lives — a third province was placed under quarantine on Monday.

President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf also banned state officials from travelling abroad for a month and ordered those outside the country to return home within a week.

Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone account for the bulk of the cases, but Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, has also counted two deaths.

And Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma expressed his “utter dismay” at the “slow pace” of the international community in responding to the outbreak, during a hospital visit on Monday.

Eight Chinese medical workers who treated patients with Ebola have been placed in quarantine in Sierra Leone, Beijing’s ambassador said on Monday, but would not be drawn on whether they were displaying symptoms of the disease.

In addition, 24 nurses have been quarantined, health officials said, while a senior physician had contracted Ebola but was responding well to treatment.

The nation’s sole virologist, who was at the forefront of its battle against the epidemic, died from Ebola last month.

As countries around the world were on alert, Japan said it was evacuating two dozen staff from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

The Ivory Coast announced on Monday that it was banning all flights from the three nations and said it had turned back around 100 Liberians trying to flee across the border.

Niger, which also has yet to confirm any cases, has put in place an “emergency plan” to train health workers and boost checks at borders, airports and stations.

Togo has also strengthened health screenings.

In Senegal, a newspaper editor was detained by police for spreading “false information” after his paper claimed there were five Ebola cases in the country, which authorities have denied.

Spanish priest infected with Ebola in Liberia dies in hospital

The 75 year old Spanish priest who was infected with the Ebola virus in Liberia and evacuated to Spain to get better treatment has died, a Madrid spokeswoman from Madrid Health authorities said this morning.

Fr. Miguel Pajares, who was airlifted from Liberia on August 7 after contracting the disease while working for a non-governmental organization in the African country started using the experimental drug, Zmapp last Saturday 9th August but sadly lost the battle to the deadly virus. He was being treated at Carlos III hospital Madrid where he had been quarantined since his return from Liberia.

This will be the first European that has died from the recent outbreak of the deadly virus
