Super Eagles Ex-Player in a Match Match-Fixing Mess in England

 Ex-Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje is currently been investigated by a National Crime Agency in an emerging match-fixing allegations claiming that he could influence games in exchange for cash.
 
Sodje,  played in the English Premier League for Reading and also spent time at Leeds United, Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth among other clubs, is alleged to have boasted he could influence events in a game such as bookings.
According to a report, Sodje allegedly showed an undercover reporter footage of him getting sent off for punching an opponent in the groin and stated that he got #70,000 for the incident. He also allegedly said he got #30,000 for getting a yellow card in another match.
34 year old Sodje played four times for the Nigerian national team, including friendly matches against the Republic of Ireland and France as well as a 2010 World Cup qualifying match against Kenya in 2009.
